Jennifer loved her VBS leader and wanted to become penpals with her. This year's VBS theme was Pandamania. I have a great cricut cartridge that cuts out really cute asian themed diecuts. With the BigShot, I embossed the red background paper and used the cricut to cut out the bamboo and panda. With the BigShot, I used the "thanks" sizzlit and made this card in a few minutes.

Camp Thank You Cards
Well, camp is ending and it's time to make thank you cards for the counselors. This year, my son was in the Wolf group and my daughter was in the Bears group. Thanks to the cricut and the "Camp Out" cartridge, I had a wolf image and a bear image. I love my new Sizzlit that embossed and cut out "Thanks" so easily! My new favorite tool for sure!

Beach Birthday Card
We're going to celebrate our friend's 40th birthday at the beach so what better way to remember than to make a birthday beach card? I ripped the tan paper to make it look like sand, added a little glitter and the final touch was to make the "40th" look like sand. Happy Birthday Sue!

Spicy Honey-Brushed Chicken Thighs
Don't be afraid of the chili powder. My kids hate spicy but they love this quick and easy chicken dish. I had to double the dry rub ingredients for 8 chicken thighs. I also broiled them for only 4 minutes on each side (when I did 5, it burned a little).
Ingredients
Preheat broiler.
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Add chicken to bowl; toss and coat. Place chicken on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Broil chicken 5 minutes on each side.
Combine honey and vinegar in a small bowl, stirring well. Remove chicken from oven; brush 1/4 cup honey mixture on chicken. Broil 1 minute. Remove chicken from oven and turn over. Brush chicken with remaining honey mixture. Broil 1 additional minute or until chicken is done.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
- Cooking spray
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
